This latest bit of BMW news comes to us courtesy of Motor Authority. BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer has officially confirmed plans to begin production of an X4 crossover. Borrowing ideas from its younger sib, the X3 and it’s older counterpart, the X5, a BMW X4 has got the employees in this NJ BMW dealership pretty intrigued!

A BMW X4 crossover has been a recent topic of discussion in the BMW world. BMW’s CEO confirmed that this new BMW model would be situated above the X3 and below the X5, but modeled after the X6! It sounds like the BMW X4 would be the perfect BMW crossover for all the Goldilocks of the world…it would be just right!

According to recent reports, the BMW X4 would get all-wheel drive, automatic stop-start, a heads-up display, and voice control. This new BMW model would also share and engine with the BMW X3 which means us United States folks would get two options for what to put under the hood! Last month at Laguna Seca, California, BMW introduced to the US public the all-new 2012 BMW M5. The super sporty and classy sedan will have its world public debut next week at the Frankfurt Auto Show, followed by a market launch in the United States in Spring of 2012.

Brian Watts, BMW M Head of Sales, was present at the event and took the time to talk to journalists about the F10 M5 and the technology that stands behind one of the most exciting M cars.

The new 2012 BMW M5 will now sport a TwinPower turbocharged V8 that uses the BMW M TwinPower Turbo tehcnology, twin-scroll turbochargers, high-precision direct fuel injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve control and a cross-bank exhaust manifold that guarantees legendary BMW M-car thrust with seamless lag-free power delivery from just off idle.

The engine outputs 560 horsepower from 5,750-7,000 rpm and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque from only 1500rpm. The high-rev unit should rocket the M5 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and under 4 seconds using BMW’s new Launch Control.

The BMW M5 is just the latest in the popular M Series, and has built a reputation for itself by combining luxury with a sports-coup feel. Whether you’re a long-standing BMW owner or you’re new to the fray, this car will really rev your engine.

Official: New BMW 3 Series Exclusive Edition and M Sport models

In fall of 2011, BMW will introduce the 2012 BMW 3 Series that will offer two specialty models, the Exclusive Edition and the M Sport Edition. Whether you prefer sophistication or exhilaration, BMW is sure one of these spectacular automobiles will suit your needs. As far as performance goes, the 2012 BMW 3 Series M Sport Edition gets a modified vehicle suspension, and numerous visual upgrades. The M Sport Edition features a shadow line window finisher and a body-color rear diffuser which provides added optimization to the car’s sleek properties, and an additional sporting touch. At press time, it remains unknown if BMW will offer both of the exclusive models for the US market.

The BMW 3 Series Coupe and BMW 3 Series Convertible will put an even more stylish foot forward in Exclusive Edition trim. An especially eye-grabbing feature of this package is the 18-inch V-spoke light-alloy wheels highlighted in Space Grey paint. Customers can choose from the exclusive exterior paint shade Mineral Grey, or any one of the other color options available. Exterior mirrors capped in Oxide Silver add further color accents.

Dakota leather upholstery has a defining influence on the interior ambiance. The seats can be ordered in the exclusive color Pearl Grey with gray contrast stitching or in Black with white contrasted stitching. Floor mats with color-coordinated pipe stitching make the perfect accompaniment. And finally, the Exclusive Edition specification also contains interior trim strips in Bamboo Grain Anthracite.

M Sport Edition adds another level of sporty capability to the BMW 3 Series Coupe and BMW 3 Series Convertible. M Sport suspension teams up with other equipment features to instill even greater intensity into the lively driving experience. The BMW M3 exclusive Silverstone paint finish and 18-inch Ferric Grey light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design give the car’s sporting qualifications a greater visual presence.

Once inside, bucket seats with M detailing, an M Sport steering wheel, stainless steel foot pedals and an M aluminum driver’s footrest point to the exclusiveness of the model. Dakota leather seat covers with blue stitching and special “M” piping further enhance the elegance of the interior. Model-specific interior strips in Aluminum Glacier Silver and floor mats with matching blue piping set the seal on the M Sport Edition package.

Spy Shots: 2012 BMW M6 Coupe

It’s been a rainy week here in New Jersey and the employees at this NJ BMW dealer are itching to get out and drive their BMWs! However, with rainy weather comes plenty of time spent inside and that gives us a chance read BMW news. Ending this week on the right note, we’ve got spy shots of the 2012 BMW M6 Coupe. We’ve seen the new M6 before, but more of its camouflage is coming off and we’re getting pretty pumped! Read on for more details and photos.

Expected to to debut early next year, the 2012 BMW M6 is shaping up to be a lovely little coupe. The new M6 isn’t a far cry from its predecessors, sporting a front end that is very similar to the rest of the 6 Series family. When you head around to the back of the car, however, there are some pretty obvious differences; quad-tipped tail pipes and a different rear bumper to name a few.

The camo continues to come off, but we still don’t know what’s hiding under the hood of the new M6. Bimmer enthusiasts are hoping for the 552-hp twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 found in the M5, but only time will tell. Until then, you’ll just have to enjoy these pics!

It’s official; photos of the brand new 2012 BMW M5 have hit the interwebs and BMW of Freehold’s got all the juicy details for you, courtesy of BMW Blog. Photos of the 2012 BMW M5 have leaked ahead of schedule. Released by a German car magazine, photos of the all new BMW M5 have revealed a lot about this new BMW. The 2012 BMW M5 packs 560hp at 6,000 rpm and 501 ft-lb of torque at 1,500 rpm. This new M5 can reach 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and 124 mph in just 13 seconds. The M package on this beauty brings its top speed to 189 mph.

The 2012 BMW M5 features the most powerful engine to ever come out of BMW M. This high-speed and high-performance vehicle offers exceptional handling, as well as state-of-the-art technology; a combination that BMW drivers have come to expect.
